AUDIENCE VOTING

YES YOU GET A VOTE!

Place your vote for your favourite finalist and help them win the grand prize of $1000!

You will head to www.menti.com and enter a unique code.

The CODE for audience voting will be displayed on the stage after the final lip sync battle contestant has finished.

You will have less than 5 minutes to place your vote!

  • How well you can actually lip sync and know the words to the song.

Do you know the story and interpret it well?

You’ve got one shot, don’t fudge it up.

  • Does your costume choice enhance your performance?

Or did you roll off the street in yesterday’s hiking gear?

Relevant props that add to perfomance?

  • Show us how you shake it.

A little choreo (or a lot!) goes a looong way.

If there is no dancing, there will be no winning.

  • Did the whole room stop and watch?

    Were people on their feet?

Do you have the special sauce?

JUDGING CRITERIA

DANCE CULTURAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Many of the dance styles shared in tonight’s show are rooted in cultures and communities around the world. Forms such as hip hop, dancehall, voguing, street jazz, and contemporary have deep histories connected to Black, Latinx, Caribbean, and global dance traditions.

We acknowledge and honour the artists, innovators, and communities who created and continue to shape these forms. While the pieces performed tonight reflect our own interpretations and creative expression, they are made possible by these cultural lineages and the generations of dancers who came before us.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge that this event takes place on the unceded territories of Indigenous peoples of this region, including the Sinixt Arrow Lakes, Ktunaxa, and Syilx Nations, and we honour their ongoing relationship to this land and these waters.

We recognize the enduring presence of the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples on this land we call home. We honour the deep relationships Indigenous peoples have with this land and the generations of knowledge, culture, and care that continue here today.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS

Let us know what you thought about tonight’s show.

Thank you for coming!
